Jesus said \u201cworldly anxiety\u201d is enough to choke His Word from growing in us (Mark 4:19).<\/h2>\n

It is rather normal to worry about our needs because we are not self-sufficient. We depend on daily necessities to survive, such as food, clothing and shelter. These in turn depend on external circumstances, such as good weather for farmers’ harvest; good health and a job for parents who work to provide for their families; and an ongoing income for us to pay the bills. Anything that may go wrong, can easily make us worry!<\/h2>\n

The truth is God knows all our needs, and He is a good Father who provides!<\/h2>\n

Jesus' Sermon on the Mount reinforced this truth. He said, \u201cDo not worry about your life, what you will eat [or drink], or about your body, what you will wear. Is not life more than food and the body more than clothing? Look at the birds in the sky; they do not sow or reap, they gather nothing into barns, yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Are not you more important than they?\u201d (Matthew 6:25-26)<\/h2>\n

God doesn\u2019t want us to worry, and we can depend on Him as we walk with Him. This is the remedy against all the cares and worries of this world.<\/h2>\n

The key is, as Jesus promised, to \u201cseek first for the kingdom [of God] and His righteousness, and all these things [that you need] will be given you\u201d. (Matthew 6:33)<\/h2>\n

Thus uproot these cares and worries by trusting in God, and let God lead our way of life.<\/h2>\n

As my response to your invitation, Lord, I would read and meditate on Matthew 6:25-34, and list out all the worries that bother me at the moment, and surrender them all to you in prayer: \u201cJesus, I surrender my life and my worries to You, please take care of everything!\u201d<\/h2>\n

Glory be to the Father, and to the Son, and to the Holy Spirit, as it was in the beginning, is now, and ever shall be, world without end. Amen.<\/h2>\n

If God so clothes the grass of the field, which grows today and is thrown into the oven tomorrow, will he not much more provide for you, O you of little faith? So do not worry and say, 'What are we to eat?'or 'What are we to drink?' or 'What are we to wear?' All these things the pagans seek. Your heavenly Father knows that you need them all.
