The kingdom's mysteries are unfolded to those who open their hearts<\/b>, making of them a rich soil in which the Word can grow and bear fruit. In Jesus, God's Word has visited our land, to water the stony earth of our hearts with the living waters of the Spirit (See John 7:38<\/a><\/span>; Revelation 22:1<\/a><\/span>). God's Word does not go forth only to return to Him void. (See Isaiah 55:10-11)<\/h2>\n

His Word awaits our response<\/b>. We must show ourselves to be children of that Word. We must allow that Word to accomplish God's will in our lives. As Jesus warns, we must take care lest the devil steal it away or lest it be choked by worldly concerns. In the Eucharist, the Word gives Himself to us as bread to eat. But here he sounds like he wants to reserve his words to a special group. The Catechism<\/i> explains, \u201cThrough his parables he invites people to the feast of the kingdom, but he also asks for a radical choice: to gain the kingdom, one must give everything. Words are not enough, deeds are required\u2026 One must enter the kingdom, that is, become a disciple of Christ, in order to ‘know the secrets of the kingdom of heaven’. For those who stay ‘outside’, everything remains enigmatic.\u201d (CCC 546)<\/h2>\n
