You may ask: what exactly is my role in God\u2019s Project of Hope? Apparently, our identity is not only as ones who are saved. <span style=\"color: #800080;\"><strong>Jesus was taken up into heaven so that we can \u201ctake His place\u201d to do \u201dgreater works\u201d according to His instructions<\/strong><\/span>, while He is seated at the right hand of the Father to intercede for us, and for our ministries (John 14:12). That\u2019s why we cannot\u00a0 slack off or remain idle. We need to work hard, not for ourselves but for God, and for His people whom He loves.<\/p>\n<p>[\/et_pb_text][et_pb_text admin_label=&#8221;Blockquote&#8221; _builder_version=&#8221;4.14.6&#8243; _module_preset=&#8221;default&#8221; animation_style=&#8221;fold&#8221; locked=&#8221;off&#8221; global_colors_info=&#8221;{}&#8221;]<\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p>As Christians, each one of us plays a unique role in God\u2019s salvific plan; a mission that is not interchangeable and is solely intended for each individual.\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>[\/et_pb_text][et_pb_testimonial author=&#8221;(Luke 12:48)&#8221; disabled_on=&#8221;off|off|off&#8221; admin_label=&#8221;Bible verse&#8221; _builder_version=&#8221;4.14.6&#8243; _module_preset=&#8221;default&#8221; body_text_color=&#8221;#FFFFFF&#8221; author_text_color=&#8221;#FFFFFF&#8221; background_color=&#8221;#d43b3e&#8221; animation_style=&#8221;bounce&#8221; locked=&#8221;off&#8221; global_colors_info=&#8221;{}&#8221;]<\/p>\n<p><strong>In the Gospel of Luke, Chapter 12, Verse 48, Jesus said, \u201cFrom everyone to whom much has been given, much will be required; and from the one to whom much has been entrusted, even more will be demanded.\u201d <\/strong><\/p>\n<p>[\/et_pb_testimonial][et_pb_text _builder_version=&#8221;4.14.6&#8243; _module_preset=&#8221;default&#8221; animation_style=&#8221;fold&#8221; global_colors_info=&#8221;{}&#8221;]<\/p>\n<p>This passage inspires us to fully utilize the \u201ctalents\u201d that we received from God, otherwise they will be taken away from us. However, some may think, \u201cI\u2019m definitely not as capable and talented as others.\u00a0 Since I have received fewer talents from God, He probably won\u2019t expect too much from me; so, I could just take it easy as I won\u2019t need to worry about not being able to account for my talents before God at the end.\u201d\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>[\/et_pb_text][\/et_pb_column][\/et_pb_row][et_pb_row _builder_version=&#8221;4.14.6&#8243; _module_preset=&#8221;default&#8221; global_colors_info=&#8221;{}&#8221;][et_pb_column type=&#8221;4_4&#8243; _builder_version=&#8221;4.14.6&#8243; _module_preset=&#8221;default&#8221; global_colors_info=&#8221;{}&#8221;][et_pb_text admin_label=&#8221;Blockquote&#8221; _builder_version=&#8221;4.14.6&#8243; _module_preset=&#8221;default&#8221; animation_style=&#8221;fold&#8221; locked=&#8221;off&#8221; global_colors_info=&#8221;{}&#8221;]<\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p>In reality, we are not only given talents as we would normally perceive them, but also a lot of other visible and invisible gifts, especially the graces that cannot be accounted for.\u00a0 We should never reserve these gifts for ourselves only.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>[\/et_pb_text][et_pb_text _builder_version=&#8221;4.14.6&#8243; _module_preset=&#8221;default&#8221; animation_style=&#8221;fold&#8221; global_colors_info=&#8221;{}&#8221;]<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #800080;\"><strong>In a broader sense, we can consider God\u2019s LOVE and MERCY for us as part of those \u201ctalents\u201d given to us. God&#8217;s love for us is one of the greatest gifts.<\/strong><\/span> We often say that we are a \u201cconduit of God\u2019s love\u201d to the world. Indeed, God\u2019s love has been poured upon us and is overflowing. Such overflowing love should never be hidden but should be allowed to flow through us unto others, especially those around us, like our family members.\u00a0 Therefore, <span style=\"color: #800080;\"><strong>one of the organic and most important ways for us to use our talents is in the works of charity.<\/strong>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p>Besides the generous gift of LOVE, we are also given an abundance of MERCY from our Heavenly Father, especially in the way God has forgiven our sins and absolved all our debts of sins owed to Him. Remember the parable of the unforgiving servant that Jesus told as Peter came and asked Jesus how often he should forgive others (ref. Matthew 18:21-35)? \u201cSeven times?\u201d Peter asked. \u201cNot seven times, but, I tell you, seventy-seven times.\u201d Jesus replied. Shocking? Indeed! But Jesus means it when He wants us to forgive without calculation.\u00a0\u00a0 When we are forgiven more, God expects us to forgive others more generously.\u00a0 <span style=\"color: #800080;\"><strong>Therefore, let us be as compassionate and merciful as our Heavenly Father.\u00a0 May we make this our life\u2019s work <\/strong><\/span>(ref. We are not masters of the time we have at hand. We do not live for ourselves alone but for God as well as the benefits of others.\u00a0 In the end, we need to be accountable to God for whether we have used our time wisely!<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>[\/et_pb_text][\/et_pb_column][\/et_pb_row][et_pb_row _builder_version=&#8221;4.14.6&#8243; _module_preset=&#8221;default&#8221; global_colors_info=&#8221;{}&#8221;][et_pb_column type=&#8221;4_4&#8243; _builder_version=&#8221;4.14.6&#8243; _module_preset=&#8221;default&#8221; global_colors_info=&#8221;{}&#8221;][et_pb_text _builder_version=&#8221;4.14.6&#8243; _module_preset=&#8221;default&#8221; animation_style=&#8221;fold&#8221; global_colors_info=&#8221;{}&#8221;]<\/p>\n<p>In sum, the talents we, as Christians, received from God have to be quite substantial!\u00a0 Therefore, if we are heavily laden by a multitude of earthly burdens, especially those that we impose upon ourselves, like amassing material and immaterial things, how can we attend to the \u201cgreater works\u201d that Jesus wants us to do?<\/p>\n<p>Let us go back to the Bible verse,<\/p>\n<p>[\/et_pb_text][et_pb_testimonial author=&#8221;(Luke 12:48)&#8221; disabled_on=&#8221;off|off|off&#8221; admin_label=&#8221;Bible verse&#8221; _builder_version=&#8221;4.14.6&#8243; _module_preset=&#8221;default&#8221; body_text_color=&#8221;#FFFFFF&#8221; author_text_color=&#8221;#FFFFFF&#8221; background_color=&#8221;#d43b3e&#8221; animation_style=&#8221;bounce&#8221; locked=&#8221;off&#8221; global_colors_info=&#8221;{}&#8221;]<\/p>\n<p><strong>\u201cfrom the one to whom much has been entrusted, even more will be demanded.\u201d <\/strong><\/p>\n<p>[\/et_pb_testimonial][et_pb_text admin_label=&#8221;Blockquote&#8221; _builder_version=&#8221;4.14.6&#8243; _module_preset=&#8221;default&#8221; animation_style=&#8221;fold&#8221; locked=&#8221;off&#8221; global_colors_info=&#8221;{}&#8221;]<\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p>If we don&#8217;t know what God has entrusted with and demanded of us, we won&#8217;t know how we can better structure our lives and use the TALENTS entrusted to us in order to fulfil what is required of us.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>[\/et_pb_text][et_pb_text _builder_version=&#8221;4.14.6&#8243; _module_preset=&#8221;default&#8221; animation_style=&#8221;fold&#8221; global_colors_info=&#8221;{}&#8221;]<\/p>\n<p>We can&#8217;t afford to keep living as if we have a lot of time at our disposal; time that can be spent aimlessly and thoughtlessly. If we continue to think that we have an endless supply of time, we are either avoiding reality, or being misguided by secular values or by our egos!\u00a0 Therefore, Jesus warns us in the Gospel of Matthew, Chapter 25, Verse 13,<\/p>\n<p>[\/et_pb_text][et_pb_testimonial author=&#8221;(Matthew 25:13)&#8221; disabled_on=&#8221;off|off|off&#8221; admin_label=&#8221;Bible verse&#8221; _builder_version=&#8221;4.14.6&#8243; _module_preset=&#8221;default&#8221; body_text_color=&#8221;#FFFFFF&#8221; author_text_color=&#8221;#FFFFFF&#8221; background_color=&#8221;#d43b3e&#8221; animation_style=&#8221;bounce&#8221; locked=&#8221;off&#8221; global_colors_info=&#8221;{}&#8221;]<\/p>\n<p><strong>\u201cKeep awake therefore, for you know neither the day nor the hour.\u201d <\/strong><\/p>\n<p>[\/et_pb_testimonial][et_pb_text _builder_version=&#8221;4.14.6&#8243; _module_preset=&#8221;default&#8221; animation_style=&#8221;fold&#8221; global_colors_info=&#8221;{}&#8221;]<\/p>\n<p>See, now is the \u201cacceptable time\u201d for us to die to our old selves and put on Christ!<\/p>\n<p>[\/et_pb_text][et_pb_text admin_label=&#8221;Blockquote&#8221; _builder_version=&#8221;4.14.6&#8243; _module_preset=&#8221;default&#8221; animation_style=&#8221;fold&#8221; locked=&#8221;off&#8221; global_colors_info=&#8221;{}&#8221;]<\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p>Let us remind ourselves not to receive God\u2019s grace in vain, but yearn to be God\u2019s collaborators (ref. 2 Corinthians 6:1-2)!\u00a0<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>[\/et_pb_text][\/et_pb_column][\/et_pb_row][et_pb_row _builder_version=&#8221;4.8.2&#8243;
