offering our desires to make way for the expression of God\u2019s will in our life and to allow God\u2019s kingdom to be present on earth and in our hearts.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>[\/et_pb_text][et_pb_text _builder_version=&#8221;4.14.6&#8243; _module_preset=&#8221;default&#8221; header_5_font=&#8221;|700|||||||&#8221; header_5_text_color=&#8221;#750059&#8243; header_5_font_size=&#8221;18px&#8221; animation_style=&#8221;fold&#8221; global_colors_info=&#8221;{}&#8221;]<\/p>\n<p>As Jesus Christ our Lord has taught us in \u201cThe Lord\u2019s Prayer\u201d, \u201cOur Father, who art in heaven, hallowed be thy name, thy kingdom come, thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven\u201d.\u00a0 Even before Jesus has introduced us to this prayer, His mother, Mary, has already fulfilled its teaching when she accepted God\u2019s intervention and allowed God to enter into her life.<\/p>\n<p>[\/et_pb_text][et_pb_text disabled_on=&#8221;off|off|off&#8221; admin_label=&#8221;Blockquote&#8221; _builder_version=&#8221;4.14.6&#8243; _module_preset=&#8221;default&#8221; animation_style=&#8221;fold&#8221; locked=&#8221;off&#8221; global_colors_info=&#8221;{}&#8221;]<\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p>When we are building an intimate relationship with our Lord Jesus Christ, the most beautiful aspect of this process is our willingness to <span style=\"color: #800080;\"><strong>accept and rejoice in Jesus\u2019 unexpected visit<\/strong><\/span>.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>[\/et_pb_text][\/et_pb_column][\/et_pb_row][et_pb_row column_structure=&#8221;1_2,1_2&#8243; header_5_font_size=&#8221;18px&#8221; animation_style=&#8221;fold&#8221; global_colors_info=&#8221;{}&#8221;]<\/p>\n<p>In the story of Jesus visiting Martha and Mary, it is evident that Jesus has never booked an appointment with them ahead of time.\u00a0 Yet, they welcome their Lord Jesus Christ with open arms, tending to Jesus\u2019 every need, each in their own way, during His visit.\u00a0 Like Martha and Mary, we should seek to develop a deeper relationship with Jesus!\u00a0 Particularly, like Mary, who remains at Jesus\u2019 feet to attentively listen and converse with Him.\u00a0 Luke\u2019s portrayal of this event reveals that <span style=\"color: #800080;\"><strong>Jesus loves to spend some solitary time with us, especially as we present ourselves with a humble heart, and sit at His feet to listen and converse with Him.\u00a0 <\/strong><\/span>Such is our priority every single day.\u00a0 Our Lord Jesus Christ became man; this implies that He yearns to be with us always.<\/p>\n<p>In the Gospel of Matthew, Chapter 1 Verse 23, it says,<\/p>\n<p>[\/et_pb_text][et_pb_testimonial author=&#8221;(Matthew 1:23)&#8221; disabled_on=&#8221;off|off|off&#8221; admin_label=&#8221;Blockquote&#8221; _builder_version=&#8221;4.14.6&#8243; _module_preset=&#8221;default&#8221; animation_style=&#8221;fold&#8221; locked=&#8221;off&#8221; global_colors_info=&#8221;{}&#8221;]<\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p>Since one of the main goals of Christ\u2019s incarnation is to fulfil our <span style=\"color: #800080;\"><strong>Heavenly Father\u2019s desire to be with us<\/strong><\/span>, how could we refuse to make this goal our desire as well in our life?\u00a0 <span style=\"color: #800080;\"><strong>Our solitary time with Jesus Christ<\/strong><\/span> everyday is the pinnacle of our everyday life!<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>[\/et_pb_text][et_pb_text _builder_version=&#8221;4.14.6&#8243; _module_preset=&#8221;default&#8221; header_5_font=&#8221;|700|||||||&#8221; header_5_text_color=&#8221;#750059&#8243; header_5_font_size=&#8221;18px&#8221; animation_style=&#8221;fold&#8221; global_colors_info=&#8221;{}&#8221;]<\/p>\n<p>Only if we nurture this attitude and habit that we may truly call ourselves Christians.<span style=\"color: #800080;\"> <strong>We must let God take over and direct our heart and our dwelling place; and in our daily lives, lift high God and His Holy name and place Him above all things.<\/strong><\/span> During Jesus\u2019 another visit to Bethany, while Martha serves Jesus, Mary takes a pound of costly perfume made of pure nard, anoints Jesus\u2019 feet, and wipes them with her hair (ref. John 12:1-8).\u00a0 We can see that this event is highly significant as\u00a0 it is recorded in three Gospels (ref. John 12:1-8, Matthew 26:6-12, Mark 14:3-9).\u00a0 In all three narratives, Jesus has high praise for Mary, highlighting the importance of her action and sentiments.\u00a0 Particularly, in the Gospels of Matthew and Mark, Jesus solemnly declared,<\/p>\n<p>[\/et_pb_text][et_pb_testimonial author=&#8221;(Mark 14:9)&#8221; disabled_on=&#8221;off|off|off&#8221; admin_label=&#8221;Bible verse&#8221; _builder_version=&#8221;4.14.6&#8243; _module_preset=&#8221;default&#8221; body_text_color=&#8221;#FFFFFF&#8221; author_text_color=&#8221;#FFFFFF&#8221; background_color=&#8221;#d43b3e&#8221; animation_style=&#8221;bounce&#8221; locked=&#8221;off&#8221; global_colors_info=&#8221;{}&#8221;]<\/p>\n<p>\u201cwherever the good news is proclaimed in the whole world, what she has done will be told in remembrance of her.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>[\/et_pb_testimonial][et_pb_text _builder_version=&#8221;4.14.6&#8243; _module_preset=&#8221;default&#8221; animation_style=&#8221;fold&#8221; global_colors_info=&#8221;{}&#8221;]<\/p>\n<p>From this, we can tell what is important to Lord Jesus Christ.<\/p>\n<p>Our intimacy with God often triggers the devil\u2019s jealousy.\u00a0 The devil will surely endeavour to hinder and interrupt our time and opportunity of meeting God, and distract us with every trick up his sleeve. From this day forward, I yearn to learn from Mary so that I may welcome You and relish the solitary time with You; listening to Your teachings and words from Your heart.\u00a0 Change my heart, O Lord, from a heart that only knows how to receive to one that knows how to give, and be willing to offer up to You the most precious things in my life.\u00a0 Let me follow the example of Mary, our Mother, so that we may relinquish all our will into Your hands. Lord Jesus, my heart belongs to You!<\/p>\n<p>Glory be to the Father, and to the Son, and to the Holy Spirit. As it was in the beginning, is now, and ever shall be, world without end.
