_module_preset=&#8221;default&#8221; header_5_font=&#8221;|700|||||||&#8221; header_5_text_color=&#8221;#750059&#8243; header_5_font_size=&#8221;18px&#8221; animation_style=&#8221;fold&#8221; global_colors_info=&#8221;{}&#8221;]<\/p>\n<p>In addition to Jesus, the Son of God, the other main actor in the \u201ctheo-drama\u201d is the Mother of God, the Blessed Virgin Mary. <strong><span style=\"color: #800080;\">Both, having completely reverted Adam and Eve\u2019s sin of \u201cpride\u201d, have become the Father\u2019s perfect followers who have also perfectly fulfilled the mission bestowed on them by the Father.<\/span> <\/strong>The collaboration between the Son and the Holy Mother is the fulfilment of the Father\u2019s will; their seamless collaboration is the perfect fulfilment of The Lord\u2019s Prayer: \u201cOur Father, Who art in heaven, hallowed be Thy name; Thy kingdom come; Thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven\u201d. One can say that Jesus and Mary are the perfect partners in the \u201ctheo-drama\u201d.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>In the same way, God also wants each of His children to become His partner in order to accomplish \u201cthe greater works\u201d. How could we even consider not trying to learn and ask for help from Jesus and Mary? <strong><span style=\"color: #800080;\">First of all, \u201chumility\u201d is not only a portrayal of the Lord Jesus and Mother Mary, but also the primary condition for being an actor\/actress in the \u201ctheo-drama\u201d.<\/span> <\/strong>Furthermore, because the Father knows everything as the \u201cdirector\u201d of the entire \u201cdrama\u201d, the Son and Mother Mary are intimately connected with the Father. Mary treasures and ponders every word in the script, that is, the word of God; she shows no fear towards things that she does not fully understand. When the appointed time arrives, Mary appears on stage and delivers a flawless \u201cperformance\u201d of the \u201cscript\u201d.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #800080;\"><strong>Each morning commences a new episode of the play; it\u2019s also the time to communicate with the director. We need to dialogue with the Father in our solitude and quietude, so that we may receive His words and instructions in order to meet the requirements for our role on that day, and facilitate the development of the \u201cplot\u201d.<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p>[\/et_pb_text][et_pb_text disabled_on=&#8221;off|off|off&#8221; admin_label=&#8221;Blockquote&#8221; _builder_version=&#8221;4.14.6&#8243; _module_preset=&#8221;default&#8221; animation_style=&#8221;fold&#8221; locked=&#8221;off&#8221; global_colors_info=&#8221;{}&#8221;]<\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p>First of all, we need to \u201cstop and listen\u201d to the director\u2019s guidance, then \u201cact\u201d, and then \u201cpause\u201d to \u201ctreasure and ponder\u201d every message received. The \u201clearning from the reflection\u201d can then be applied to the next act. This same process is to be repeated multiple times every day. The more \u201cparts\u201d we have in the drama, that is, the more work we have to complete that day, the greater the need to press the pause button and spend more time \u201cconsulting the director\u201d!\u00a0<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>[\/et_pb_text][et_pb_text _builder_version=&#8221;4.14.6&#8243; _module_preset=&#8221;default&#8221; header_5_font=&#8221;|700|||||||&#8221; header_5_text_color=&#8221;#750059&#8243; header_5_font_size=&#8221;18px&#8221; animation_style=&#8221;fold&#8221; global_colors_info=&#8221;{}&#8221;]<\/p>\n<p>According to Ignatian spirituality, becoming a <span style=\"color: #800080;\"><strong>\u201ccontemplative in action\u201d<\/strong><\/span> means:<\/p>\n<p>[\/et_pb_text][et_pb_text disabled_on=&#8221;off|off|off&#8221; admin_label=&#8221;Blockquote&#8221; _builder_version=&#8221;4.14.6&#8243; _module_preset=&#8221;default&#8221; animation_style=&#8221;fold&#8221; locked=&#8221;off&#8221; global_colors_info=&#8221;{}&#8221;]<\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p>that our active life feeds our contemplative life and our contemplative life informs our active life.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>[\/et_pb_text][et_pb_text _builder_version=&#8221;4.14.6&#8243; _module_preset=&#8221;default&#8221; header_5_font=&#8221;|700|||||||&#8221; header_5_text_color=&#8221;#750059&#8243; header_5_font_size=&#8221;18px&#8221; animation_style=&#8221;fold&#8221; global_colors_info=&#8221;{}&#8221;]<\/p>\n<p><strong><span style=\"color: #800080;\">Ignatian spirituality is grounded in the conviction that God is active in our world.<\/span> <\/strong><\/p>\n<p>In addition to knowing <span style=\"color: #800080;\"><strong>what we should do<\/strong><\/span> in our life, that is, to fulfil the Father\u2019s will, we also need to know <span style=\"color: #800080;\"><strong>how to do it<\/strong><\/span>; in other words, the proper means to accomplish God\u2019s will.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>In the example of Martha and Mary welcoming Jesus,<span style=\"color: #800080;\"><strong> the focus is not what they do to attend to Jesus but how they do it, their attitude, and their motivations<\/strong><\/span> (ref. Luke 10:38-42). Many biblical scholars agreed that even if Martha had chosen to sit by Jesus\u2019 feet and listen to Him, her mind would still be preoccupied with the \u201cmany things\u201d; thus, unable to accept what Jesus has to tell her. Contrarily, if Mary chose to serve Jesus by preparing food for him while maintaining her attitude and mentality of listening to God, <span style=\"color: #800080;\"><strong>she would still be able to have a genuine encounter with Jesus through her active work and service.<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p>[\/et_pb_text][\/et_pb_column][\/et_pb_row][et_pb_row column_structure=&#8221;1_2,1_2&#8243; _builder_version=&#8221;4.14.6&#8243; _module_preset=&#8221;default&#8221; global_colors_info=&#8221;{}&#8221;][et_pb_column type=&#8221;1_2&#8243; _builder_version=&#8221;4.14.6&#8243; _module_preset=&#8221;default&#8221; global_colors_info=&#8221;{}&#8221;][et_pb_image src=&#8221;https:\/\/lent.fll.cc\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/04\/light.jpg&#8221; title_text=&#8221;light&#8221; _builder_version=&#8221;4.14.6&#8243; _module_preset=&#8221;default&#8221; global_colors_info=&#8221;{}&#8221;][\/et_pb_image][\/et_pb_column][et_pb_column type=&#8221;1_2&#8243; _builder_version=&#8221;4.14.6&#8243; _module_preset=&#8221;default&#8221; global_colors_info=&#8221;{}&#8221;][et_pb_text disabled_on=&#8221;off|off|off&#8221; admin_label=&#8221;Blockquote&#8221; _builder_version=&#8221;4.14.6&#8243; _module_preset=&#8221;default&#8221; animation_style=&#8221;fold&#8221; locked=&#8221;off&#8221; global_colors_info=&#8221;{}&#8221;]<\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p>The core is that we need to know what is the &#8220;only necessary thing&#8221; in life, that is, &#8221; to listen to Jesus and do whatever He tells you&#8221;. We should not let the &#8220;many things&#8221; disturb and &#8220;distract&#8221; us into a state of &#8220;chaos&#8221; , thus losing &#8220;Order&#8221; and &#8220;Focus&#8221;.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>[\/et_pb_text][\/et_pb_column][\/et_pb_row][et_pb_row _builder_version=&#8221;4.14.6&#8243; _module_preset=&#8221;default&#8221; global_colors_info=&#8221;{}&#8221;][et_pb_column type=&#8221;4_4&#8243; _builder_version=&#8221;4.14.6&#8243; _module_preset=&#8221;default&#8221; global_colors_info=&#8221;{}&#8221;][et_pb_text _builder_version=&#8221;4.14.6&#8243; _module_preset=&#8221;default&#8221; header_5_font=&#8221;|700|||||||&#8221; header_5_text_color=&#8221;#750059&#8243; header_5_font_size=&#8221;18px&#8221; animation_style=&#8221;fold&#8221; global_colors_info=&#8221;{}&#8221;]<\/p>\n<p>If God is the director of every moment of our life, He is also an integral part of our life. If we <span style=\"color: #800080;\"><strong>allow God to enter into our life<\/strong><\/span>, we become family; He, our kind and gentle Father. Then, <span style=\"color: #800080;\"><strong>we will not have trouble recognizing His voice, and by listening to Him, we can discern His will. When we get to know His \u201ctemperaments\u201d gradually, we will also get to know \u201chow\u201d God wants us to live out His will.<\/strong>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p>When we follow this method to strengthen our communication and cooperation with the Father,\u00a0 we will not be easily swayed by our own motivations and external influences. <strong><span style=\"color: #800080;\">Neither will our work nor our surrounding environment stand between us and our intimate communication and cooperation with the Father. In this way, our work and surroundings will be transformed from being obstacles into a time and space in which we may effectively encounter and pray to the Father, and support us on our path to holiness!\u00a0<\/span> <\/strong><\/p>\n<p>St. Josemaria Escriv\u00e1 once said:<\/p>\n<p>[\/et_pb_text][et_pb_testimonial disabled_on=&#8221;off|off|off&#8221; admin_label=&#8221;Quote&#8221; _builder_version=&#8221;4.14.6&#8243; _module_preset=&#8221;default&#8221; body_text_color=&#8221;#FFFFFF&#8221; author_text_color=&#8221;#FFFFFF&#8221; background_color=&#8221;#d43b3e&#8221; animation_style=&#8221;bounce&#8221; locked=&#8221;off&#8221; global_colors_info=&#8221;{}&#8221;]<\/p>\n<p>\u201cJesus, let my distractions be the other way around. This is echoed by what John the Baptist said in the Gospel of John, Chapter 3, Verse 30,<\/p>\n<p>[\/et_pb_text][et_pb_testimonial author=&#8221;(John 3:30)&#8221; disabled_on=&#8221;off|off|off&#8221; admin_label=&#8221;Bible verse&#8221; _builder_version=&#8221;4.14.6&#8243; _module_preset=&#8221;default&#8221; body_text_color=&#8221;#FFFFFF&#8221; author_text_color=&#8221;#FFFFFF&#8221; background_color=&#8221;#d43b3e&#8221; animation_style=&#8221;bounce&#8221; locked=&#8221;off&#8221; global_colors_info=&#8221;{}&#8221;]<\/p>\n<p><strong>\u201cHe must increase, but I must decrease.\u201d<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>[\/et_pb_testimonial][et_pb_text _builder_version=&#8221;4.14.6&#8243; _module_preset=&#8221;default&#8221; header_5_font=&#8221;|700|||||||&#8221; header_5_text_color=&#8221;#750059&#8243; header_5_font_size=&#8221;18px&#8221; animation_style=&#8221;fold&#8221; global_colors_info=&#8221;{}&#8221;]<\/p>\n<p>Though this proclamation does not come from Jesus, His whole life testifies to it! <span style=\"color: #800080;\"><strong>Jesus has devoted His entire life to \u201cincrease\u201d and glorify God.<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p>Since Jesus has made the Father\u2019s will the anchor of His life and \u201cfulfilling the Father\u2019s will\u201d the highest goal for His disciples,<\/p>\n<p>[\/et_pb_text][et_pb_text disabled_on=&#8221;off|off|off&#8221; admin_label=&#8221;Blockquote&#8221; _builder_version=&#8221;4.14.6&#8243; _module_preset=&#8221;default&#8221; animation_style=&#8221;fold&#8221; locked=&#8221;off&#8221; global_colors_info=&#8221;{}&#8221;]<\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p>even among the hustle and bustle of His public ministry, His heart is peaceful and steady; His unwavering confidence comes from His unshakable confidence in the Father.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>[\/et_pb_text][et_pb_text _builder_version=&#8221;4.14.6&#8243; _module_preset=&#8221;default&#8221; header_5_font=&#8221;|700|||||||&#8221; header_5_text_color=&#8221;#750059&#8243; header_5_font_size=&#8221;18px&#8221; animation_style=&#8221;fold&#8221; global_colors_info=&#8221;{}&#8221;]<\/p>\n<p>The source of all these is Jesus\u2019 intimate relationship with His Father! Jesus and our Holy Mother Mary are, indeed, exemplars of \u201ccontemplative in action\u201d!<\/p>\n<p>[\/et_pb_text][et_pb_text disabled_on=&#8221;off|off|off&#8221; admin_label=&#8221;Blockquote&#8221; _builder_version=&#8221;4.14.6&#8243; _module_preset=&#8221;default&#8221; animation_style=&#8221;fold&#8221; locked=&#8221;off&#8221; global_colors_info=&#8221;{}&#8221;]<\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p>Like Jesus and Mary, if we dwell in God and align our life with His will as well as endeavour to fully cooperate with Him, we don\u2019t need to be afraid of sufferings, illnesses, and other challenges in life! Indeed, God will grant us a life that is serene and trouble-free, as well as the gift of \u201choly indifference\u201d mentioned in previous reflections, when we have full confidence and rely completely on Him.
