Day 2 (Feb 27) The Temporal vs. The Everlasting

Day 2 (Feb 27)
The Temporal vs.
The Everlasting

What captivates you? The temporal or the everlasting?

“God created us without us: but he did not will to save us without us.”

St. Augustine

Many of us love watching movies. We enjoy being drawn into that world of sight and sound. We cannot wait to find out how the story unfolds.

The Parable of the Sower is just one of the many parables that Jesus told. The parables are Jesus’ instruments for communicating heavenly mysteries that are too deep for us to grasp in plain language. Jesus doesn’t want us to miss the life-saving truths so badly that he uses parables to stir our curiosity.

Matthew 13:17

Amen, I say to you, many prophets and righteous people longed to see what you see but did not see it, and to hear what you hear but did not hear it.

Give Jesus’ parable(s) a chance and watch your own life story unfold.

REFLECTION:

How hungry am I for God? Or have I been starving for so long that I don’t even realize I am hungry?

TODAY’S PRAYER

Lord, help me thirst for you so much that I can’t get enough of you!
As a response to your invitation, Lord, I would create a dedicated space in my home for daily prayer.
Glory be to the Father, and to the Son, and to the Holy Spirit, as it was in the beginning, is now, and ever shall be, world without end. Amen.
